The TDS Enrichment Program for Gifted Students and Homeschoolers was developed to help us fulfill our mission to provide exceptional opportunities to enhance the development of children’s’ talents.

LET'S MAKE A MOVIE CAMP
Rising 3rd Graders-5th Graders
July 20-24 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m Tuition and Materials:$95.00
This is a fun week of learning about what goes on behind the scenes of TV or movies. Learn the basics of acting, directing and camera angles. We will make a clip about the studio and other fun projects for you to take home on a DVD at the end of the week.
Day one: Introduce yourself to the VHS camera behind the camera and in front of the camera. Discuss script for the studio. How to shoot a movie clip.
Day two: Experience camera angles outside and lighting issues. What does a director do? How many “takes” does it take?
Day three: Close ups and acting lessons will be explored. Rehearse script for the studio and other projects.
Day four: Set, camera, action! Film the projects.
Day five: Review the movie clips. Discuss editing strategies. Review lessons learned through out the week.
Objective: The student will be involved in the process of making a movie clip which will include; making a script, acting, set design, music choices that will promote the Talent Developing Studio. Each student will have a take home DVD of the week’s filming.

Music for Young Children is a keyboard-based classroom program for children from 3 1/2 years to 9 years of age, accompanied by their parent or caregiver. The program was developed in Canada and has recently become better known in the U.S. Through innovative methods children learn music theory, piano, and composing. Several of our pupils have won international awards for their compositions.

CHESS CAMP WITH ADRIAN

1st - 8th Graders
August 17-21 9:00 am to 12:00 pm Tuition: $150.00*
For Kids: What is chess? Chess is a game of strategy! This camp will not only explain the basic rules, but will summarize the principles and strategies of the most famous chess players in history.
