Music for young Children™ is a keyboard-based classroom music education program for preschoolers (from three-and-a-half years) through ten-year-old children. The program was developed in Canada and is now well-known in the U.S. Through innovative, developmentally-appropriate methods children have fun in their group music lessons as they learn keyboard skills, solfege, music theory, music history, music analysis and composition. Several of our pupils have won international awards for their compositions. Many of our present students and our MYC graduates excel in piano performance, vocal performance, and in their school music instrumental and choral groups. All of them experience the joy of music because they understand and appreciate music of many genres.
The child and parent commit for the duration of the school year. Extensive materials are provided.
